Yes, my friend is very tall. Yes, this is based on a real conversation, although I made it a little punchier.
I made a real mess of panel FOUR. There are no parts of Hollywood Blvd that slope at such a dramatic angle. In real life it’s all pretty flat. While drawing this panel, my thought was that I would do some kind of interesting cartoony angle/perspective thing. But once it was drawn, I realized that I’d totally effed it up.
